I'm Ray - an artist, geek, and Linux afficionado hailing from Bloomington, Indiana. Within this site you'll find examples of my work, some notes on the pieces themselves, and maybe in the future some opinion pieces and whatnot. Art can be found under the Series link, organized by thematic or stylistic consistencies (or lack thereof).

About Me

I grew up in rural Indiana, and developed a love of making art in middle school. After a few years of adolescent scribbling, I settled in Bloomington where I've been showing art for the last six years. This has been predominantly solo exhibitions at local galleries, although I've taken part in a couple of multi-artist shows as well.

My work is modern without diving too deep into abstraction, dark without being macabre, and sometimes even a little playful. Primary media are oil on canvas and ink on paper, although I've had dalliances with oil pastel, colored pencil, and acrylic.
